On 11-15 October 2021 educators and trainers from organizations from Poland, Turkey, Slovenia and Ireland were hosted by ELHEM in Elmadag (Ankara) for the training.
The so-called joint staff training was an opportunity to pilot and discuss the training programs that are being developed within the Seniors for Education project and will be the basis for training activities for the seniors.
Educators worked on the two training programs:
- “Senior-trainer. Facilitating workshops with kids”
- “Senior-ambassadors. Skills to promote the intergenerational cooperation in local community”
The training programs will be piloted in all partner countries with the group of 60 seniors.
The training for educators was also a great opportunity for intercultural integration. During the study visit partners visited one of the primary schools in Elmadag, met with local politicians and visited beautiful Ankara.
